Eleos Music institutional structure focuses on maintaining a balance of artistic performance and educational excellence. Positions allow performing artists to invest in the next generation, keeping the arts healthy, and developing a platform of revenue to balance performance engagements.

Our internal faculty policy is based on the principals of integrity, mentorship, and collaboration.

Candidates should demonstrate teaching experience, ability to communicate and engage with young children, a portfolio of performed and recorded works, and an active calendar of performance.

School Program Candidates should have experience in violin AND viola, or cello with some knowledge of upper strings. Simple keyboard skills are required, some conducting training or experience required.

Teaching Assistant Candidates should demonstrate mastery at the Eleos Foundations level at minimum with some experience at the Proficiency level. All teaching assistants must have experience in either violin AND viola, or cello with some experience in upper strings. Piano proficiency at Foundations Round 2 is required. All teachers are required to accompany their own students at lessons and recitals.

Eleos Music Studios – Junior Teaching Assistant (Newbury Park) OPEN
Hours: Four hours, 1 day per week (4 to 8 individual students)
Pay: $40 per hour
Description: Private lessons with beginner students, mostly grade-school level.

Beacon Hill Classical Academy – Teaching Assistant (Camarillo) FILLED
Hours: 1 hour class, two weekday mornings.
Starting Pay: $640 per month
Description: Assisting in group instruction and ensemble coaching (violinists and cellists). Grade-school age children. Instrumental class of 10, orchestra class of 30. Beginner level.

Oak Park and Las Virgenes School Districts – Assistant Coach (Oak Park Area) FILLED
Hours: Three 1-hour classes, one to two days per week.
Pay: $45 per hour
Description: Assisting in beginner to intermediate-level orchestras in a public school setting. Working alongside head coach and music director providing string-specific technique instruction. Run sectionals for each string section.

Eleos Music Studios – Junior Pedagogue (Newbury Park) FILLED
Hours: Four hours, 1 to 2 days per week (8 to 16 individual students)
Pay: $70 per hour
Description: Private lessons with beginner and early intermediate students, mostly grade-school and middle-school level.

*Schedule can be arranged so that private students are scheduled on class teaching days.
